Yea we all got to practice on eachother. It was a really quick demo, I think I was picked as I laughed at the other guy who was rolling around on the floor with his arm bent in ways it shouldn't be.

Lesson learnt

I spoke to one of my mates from my PRMC on the phone today (he failed on my one but passed later). He is in week 2 of recruit training now (900 troop) and admits that foundation is shit. But he said that he has spoken to others on the latter stages of training and they said foundation was without a doubt the worst part of training they've had so far.

I also asked if he had seen any of the others we went on PRMC with. He said yes and they are on week 24 now!! REALLY frustrating for me cos I know that if I wasnt injured still, I'd be there too 'possibly' on week 24 too.

One bit of advice he said though was to bring an ironing board to CTC with you, cos apparently there aint many in foundation and you end up waiting ages for one.
(sorry for hijacking your thread Lew mate!!)

Congrats again

Hi Braywick mate! Good to hear from ya!

My mate in 900tp is called Matt (cant remember his surname) - we called him the hulk on PRMC, but he was the one on Saturday that got b*llocked for talking on the phone. Also he has done the ligaments in in his knee recently.

Well done lew,

just a little advice from my own experience. You said you were hoping for the first intake after summer leave? Definatlety try and go for that mate and not one before hand.CTC day in day out is a huge culture shock, but you do get used to it to a certain degree after a couple of weeks. I had just finished the end of week two in the foundation block when we went on 3 weeks leave, and this set alot of the lads back to square one in many ways as they got used to civvy street again, only to return to CTC and go through getting back in the swing again for the second time.Anyway mate just my opinion. Good luck,

WELL DONE, Lew

Just wondering, were there any noobers on your course? Were most of the lads you attended PRMC with reasonably sound? No doubt you made some new friends. Do you think you'll be seeing any of them when you start training?

Last question, promise... not sure if you've been asked this, but did you get to select your own date for starting training?

Again, well done and good luck with training!

Yea there were a few, not naming names, but a couple were like, yea I can’t wait to kill, blow shit up fight with little children etc

Yea they were. Yes I did, a few of us are trying to get in the first troop after summer leave so we can start training together.

More or less yea, I called my AFCO Monday morning, spoke to the guy in charge and told him I wanted in, in the first troop after summer leave.
Again, well done and good luck with training!

Cheers

lew those scores were diabolical, you need to get some serious phys done, or the pti's will waste you when you get here. Your attempt was abismal, you obviously have no determination or self motivation to pull your fat ass up more than twice on the beam (fell off my arse)

hope this puts things in to perspective weasle
you want it bad enough, you will get it.

I dunno, 2 chin-ups is shit  there was a lad on my prmc who fell of and the PTI simply told him to get back up. Also at the end of the prmc when the PTI is giving you a debrief, he told us that really we sould all be able to get 18 chin-ups when we come back :o So lew get on that chin-up bar
