Post by skygod75 »

Hi

Im interested in rejoining 4 Para. I was last with them when I was about 20 I am now 29.
If I rejoin do I have to do recruit phase again?
My friend said Id have to do it but as Id allready done P-coy and Brize Norton etc before , Id only have to do the 10 miler this time round.
Anyone know any different??

yeah I would imagine that would be the case. I finally got through to them by phone and was invited for an interview with one of their captains, so I would imagine Ill be put into the picture. I guess Im keen to know sooner!

TA regs state that if you have been out for more than 3 years, you have to start again. Sorry! Ive just re-joined after an absence of 2 years and 10 months! Just managed to sneak in under the wire, keep my rank and keep my top level bounty (which is nice)

Id better get me road slappers on then hadnt I and start beastin myself till my eyeballs bleed!......gulp.
I reckon 4 to 5 month build up of fitness then reapply, assuming the interview with the Captain dosnt bring up anything different.
I was in the RAF Regiment last year for 6 months as a recruit (ableit injured for most of it) that may/may not have a relevance!

cheers!
