Joining the RMP (V)

Hi,
I`m a serving civvy bobby (nearly 3 years), with previous military experiance (nearly 7 years). I`m thinking about joining the RMP (V), and would very much like constructive advice from serving RMP (V) soldiers.
I believe that my nearest RMP Coy, is 116 in West Bromwich, anyone serving with them?

Can anyone tell me what the potential is for tours of Afganistan in the RMP (V)?

Have a look at the TA RMP thread started by Hantslad a while back! If the idea of 3 Sqn Tactical Police Wing floats your boat pm either aes69 or myself for more gen!

I believe that a high percentage of TA RMP have been deployed in Iraq at various stages. There is a very good chance that they will spend a fair bit of time in Afghanistan too

I found that during Gulf one most TA RMP had postings to BAOR while the Regs got sent to the land of sand however im now told that as well as covering Regs in Police Posts you are just as likely to sat with your Ray Bans with the best of them which i assume is what TA RMP want?
