Shin Splints!!

Post by EHG »

Hello everyone!

Just wondering if anyone can help me, i am trying to build up my stamina as much as poss, but have recently developed shin splints, has anyone else had this? and does anyone know how to get rid of them, i have had accupuncture and physio, they gave me stretches and told me to rest for 2 wks, i did and i still have them!

Also my friend who recently joined the RAf as intel analysis told me that if i say i have shin splints i will not be accepted??! Is this true?

Cheers Guys!

Hello mate - Sorry to hear about the shin splints. I wouldnt worry, your not the first person to get them. A search will bring up more information as it has been talked about alot.

Here are some I found quickly:-

If you have any questions I would them on one of these threads.

Good luck and take care.

Much as I try not to agree with Monkeys in public or within earshot of witnesses, Goldie is pretty much spot on here. you could do a lot worse than rowing as an all-round workout it hits the spot in most areas!
(God I hope this isn't the start of a trend, I'll never live it down)

Always good to go cycling with a RMP, they always have bananas to keep the carb levels up, pain in the arse when they start scratching their armpits and going "ooo aaaa aaaao " though

God bless them, I was witness to a parade of tankies once and there were two RMP at the back of the march past, apparantly they were there as brake lights!!

Yup and every 4th one would be placed on the ground upside down in order to provide somewhere to sit for 04 x Matelots at a time!

awwww, I do actually like the RMP, couple of months at Chichester bulling boots and sewing on a stripe, then signing away your rights to having any mates, then some twonk shoves that ex-eastenders bird in a red lid and we had a brief moment of really liking the RMP..........

Keep up the good work..........

.......not here Over there!!
