I DO I DO I DO :D its a proper sport so it is. Although I’m on a career break (don’t want to put my shoulder out again before prmc). I’ve played almost half of my life, and am good at what I do, I’ve played prop (when I was fat and unfit ) second row (slight less fat and unfit :) I’ve played back row (not fat anymore and fit 8)) as well as full back, which was more to do with me being able to read the game really well and having a kick ass dump tackle  than being able to run like a whippet.

Rugby and rugby players out class football and its spawn . They are better athletes, better behaved and are good role models for youngsters. Footballers need to go back to school and learn to play the game the way it was played. It was once known as the beautiful game you know

There was once a time when I would laugh at a welsh boyo saying that but I can't anymore  but don't get to comfy though, we will be back, we will be brilliant and we will win again :D .

I totally agree with Lew, Rugby is a much more honourable game than Football, they even call the ref 'Sir'. Its a far cry from the cheating, jumped up, pretentious, scum bag, pint sized, fame ridden, gutter rat of footballers.

I would have loved to have been given the chance to play Rugby, but now, at the age of 22 it seems a bit late in life.

But I cant stop loving football, it got to me before rugby. If I stuck in who knows what sort of cheating, jumped up, pretentious, scum bag, pint sized, fame ridden, gutter rat of a football I could have been. ;)

Doc,
Nice to see that nothing changed in the intervening years then.

Thats waaaayyy after my time there.
When I was playing Peter Francis' (estate agent) daughter was playing (when she wasn't chucking her spoilt brat strops..."I'll tell my daddy I'm on the bench and he'll sort you out. Daddys on the Commitee you know" BITCH!!!)
Not only that, but Coot still had a little bit of hair left

I support any English team in Europe, and I will support Liverpool in Istanbul. But I just cant see anything more than a slaughtering.

I like to see Liverpool do well, especially in Europe but I don't think they've much chance against Milan. Chelsea would have beat them with Robben and Duff back. Even with the second rate forward line-up they had on Tuesday (can you beleive £24m was spent on that donkey Drogba - he makes Heskey look skilfull), Liverpool sweated a bit and relied on a bit of Gerrard magic and a dubious goal. Good luck to them though. Carragher was superb and if he plays half as well as that then Schevchenko will have his work cut out.

I think the talk about Chelsea buying the Premiership this season is crap. The big name players like Crespo, Veron and Mutu have gone, the star players of the season were Terry, Lampard, Makelele, Cole, Robben (briefly) and Cech - any premiership club could have afforded what they cost. The big difference between Chelsea and the runners up is the disipline and grit they have showed grinding out results week in. Morinho made his point by binning tossers like Crespo and grabbing Smertin back from Pompey and Forsell from Brum. It's good for the English game that the 'galactico's' now realise that it's a team game (that's why Fergie let Beckham go and why he won't be winning trophies at Stamford Bridge next season). Just listen to any Chelsea player after a game.
