With the sbs now under UKSF, who will take there place? Who will have the role of providing intelligences directly to 3 commando brigade, seems a big loss to the royal marines.

The SBS have always been under the UKSF umbrella. SAS/SBS have worked together for years. Bootnecks have for yonks been based at Hereford working alongside the SAS. In fact the old RSM of the SAS was a Bootneck! His nickname was and is "Bootie".
Certain elements of the SBS have and always will be under the command of MGRM CDOFORCES for use by both 3 Cdobderm and the Navy.

As long as the higher ups arses point down they are going to dither about causing mayhem with the average blokes whole view of what he is and indeed who he is.
I'm out now have been for over 15 years but it riles me bigtime to see the mess they are creating with their fatharsing around.
As you said "If it ain't broke, Don't fix it" Obviously this rule is disregarded by the Goons in charge.
The RAF buy a load of Chinook Helicopters in full working order as per the requirements of the US armed forces. To wit they worked. So what does the MOD do? mess about with them which has resulted in the entire order being buggered and unable to fly!
Why should Britain Tremble? Because of idiots who cannot find their own Arses, thats why!

Not even if they were issued with a compass and grid ref yet we're expected to accept their greater intelligence and decision making prowess and just get on with it regardless of the fact that the system has farked up yet again!Artist wrote:

But if, for instance, you were Chief of the Air Staff and were happy to show willingness in accepting HUGE cuts to your Service, then chances are that you might later get promoted to Chief of Defence Staff. Then you can show willingness to make even greater cuts across all 3 Services. Not even if they were issued with a compass and grid ref yet we're expected to accept their greater intelligence and decision making prowess and just get on with it regardless of the fact that the system has farked up yet again!
Bad decision making? Depends on your priorities!

When I was in we had a Navy, Now......Pass, Can you even think what would happen if some Foreign Power decided to Invade a British Colony nowadays?
Down South (Falklands) would never happen. This day we would have to rely on other counties to help us out. Now, to me that is annoying to say the least.
Am just annoyed at this Crap about making the Armed Forces the same. What they want to happen is whatever branch of the Armed forces you happen to belong to your training is going to be the same. It's what they have said.
Imagine it: All SF!?! It aint gonna happen. I served in the Marines and worked with the SF. Your telling me that some Drongo with the Brains of a Farking Rocking Horse is going to be on a Par wth me? I think not!
The SF, The Royal Marines. The Parachute Regiment. Dream on Sunshine. They are Damn Good at Soldiering. No Farking Messtins!
To be honest I am that Brassed of with Pointless Posts from Wannabies who read books and Magazines and then have the Cheek to ask stupid pointless annnoying questions about such stuff.
Sorry but just Please "get a Farkin Life!"

I hope that the SBS would still provide the intelligence necessary.
However, I don't think this will happen. I don't think they do beach recce as I don't think that they still work for the Royal Marines.
I wish they did. They are now above that sort of mundane task.
They are mow responsible to DSF (Director Special Forces). This is not a bad thing buit I think that the Royal Marines might feel the need for a beach recconnaisance unit to help them in the future. Would this force become the Special Boat Section? The wheel has come full circle!!

Annoying? Ferking scary more like! This was touched on when I was on a course recently. RN guy basically said that the Falklands couldn't be repeated at the moment. Army guy basically said that they would be virtually unable to deal with anything major and unforseen that could arise in the immediate future. RAF are becoming excessively reliant on 'Combined Ops' with the USA, and as such, will be developing huge capability gaps in the immediate future. This day we would have to rely on other counties to help us out. Now, to me that is annoying to say the least.
The whole Armed Forces are gearing up entirely to fight multiple small-scale conflicts in concert with the USA. Which is fine......unless of course anything threatened our national interests, but not the Americans. In which case, we'd be stitched good and proper!
