Hi all, how you all doing,
Just wondering if anybody here starts trainnig for the Paras on the 13th of March 2005, thats when I start

Good luck for para depot mate, you've probably heard this a thousand times but run as much as you can before you turn up. Running is the core training for para reg, it strengthens your leg muscles/bones and will give you the heart and lungs of an ox. This will prepare your body for the shock of tabbing for fcuking miles. You can never be fit enough to start your training. The basis of airborne infantry is speed at carrying out a section attack, this speed comes from sh1t loads of running. Get out there and beast yourself, you'll thank yourself for it later when getting run ragged over catterick training area. Don't ever give up, because they will not like it.

Good luck aaron, keep us posted on progress.

Although can I just say that everyone else including the Herc drivers know the plane will land, why on earth you'd want to jump is beyond me :lol: :lol:

Keep your mouth shut and and just watch and listen what is going on around you, and it does get easier as the weeks pass and you get into the their way of working. If you want it stick with with it.
