Post by Hostage_Negotiator »

Just thought I'd introduce myself, found this site by chance, was looking at an old thread on "RAF Police.co.uk"and decided to investigate this "Gnr Greenhill" thing as he was getting none too favourable metions on that site! would like to have been aware of it all whilst it was current as I could have shed some "genuine" light on several of the issues mentioned! Anyway now I'm here got to say I'm impressed! Top site, feel free to ridicule to the token blue job (please note the spelling"ue" ) Face of concern . Not this callsign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers SB!
you're right about the accomm & Gadaffi, mind you, yours are slowly catching up, was in Chatham a while back doing a refresher at the NSC and the bars inside the wire were safer than the local ones. (Many a night spent in the old "Command House"). saying that the accomm still sucks the big one. Multi-occupancy rooms are all right when your 18 and doing initial or phase2 but post training you need to be treat like an adult if the powers that be expect you to behave like one. I'm all for teamwork and esprit de corp but ther are other and better ways to encourage and develope them. As for your new and novel terms of aviaton endearment how refreshing! your obviously a gentleman of some standing!
Welcome Biggles, chocks away, tally ho and you Naffi and accom is still better than ours.
That comment took me back a bit.

We had a Coy stationed at RAF Marharaq in Bahrain, the rest of us were out in the "desert" :).
The MT lads used to toss up who went on the daily run to Maharaq so they could stay there for scoff.
They had a notice board in the cookhouse with complaints and request's and the reply from the RAF messing officer. Always remember the comments once when I managed to get down there.

Yesterday the jelly was to watery.

Yesterday the jelly was to rubbery

Could you do some eggs sunny side up

Could you mark the minutes on the boiled eggs.

A Coy 1 Para, Food FU**ing Marvelous

Messing officers comments went something like, "Any more complaints of a frivolous nature, the complainee can go and dine at ! Para's camp".

Thank you ! Para for your kind remarks. :D

Hi!

Erm, I should have come onto this thread ages ago, but that's life.
I too came on here when news broke about Gnr Greenham Common.

Top site, good crack with some of the regulars! I particularly enjoy the sport of "Tw@t Hunting" on this board, you do get more than your share of total knobbers posting on here.

See ya out there, and remember:
