Start Recruit training 14th March

Post by mike_neon »

Does any one have this date to go down and start recruit training? Just wondering if any one on here would be going down the same time as me?

My fitness is buggered I reckon mate. I aint trained in over 2 months cos of this injury.

I'm going to a chiropractor tomorrow as I was speaking to one at the pub and he reckons it could be just a case of the muscle is out of position hence the pain and he could sort that. We'll see tomorrow though!

Just thought I say good luck with your training mate, I start my basic training on 13th March, only mines for the maroon machine, so I know what must be going through your head!

Only three weeks of the comfy life left, boy are we in for a rude awakening :o

Anyway like I said good luck!

Just spoken to the AFCO and im going down on that date too, it was either then or 19th of april. I wont be as fit as I would of liked going down on the 14th march but if I went down on the 19th april I would of been put on the new pension scheme, which is much much worse. Also 7 weeks is far too long too wait  .

ahh good so there are a few people on here going the same time as me. Im from the Preston branch AFCO, I wasnt actually given a time to go down to lympstone like the PRMC, but i am just going the same time as i did on the PRMC, which is 10:00am from Lancaster, get there about 3:15pm. What time you guys due to get there? I just trying to get as much training in as soon as possible, but without over doing it to avoid another injury.

im not impressed with the fact we get there on the 14th March, and then come home on the 18th March for the 2 weeks hols  , i was begging the AFCO to go in before but cant get me in, as soon as we unpack we will be going home again for 2 weeks  . i suppose the good thing is we will be getting paid for the 2 weeks off, instead of having to wait until the next recruitment after easter hols.

Once you pass you can join when you are ready; with some lads taking a weekend and some, like me, taking two and a half months.

There is a batch on 14th March and I think the next is 18th April, after easter leave.

Tell your AFCO to check their dates, if they're right I'm doing Final Ex during my time off! Easter leave is definitely 25th March - 10th April. Have fun down here...you won't want to come back after two weeks off having only just done Foundation, but it does get better...slowly!

You want new clothes a new mum and dad and leave??? The factory is a lovely place with sea views, a nice exercise area, country strolls, health farm run by understanding guys with shares in persil, who on earth would ever want to leave??
