Sandhurst

Post by Rage »

I need some advice and so I turn to this site excellent forum again.

First I'll need to tell you my current qualifications.
At the moment I have only 2 GCSE of C+ standard and no A levels.
Would it be possible for me to, after 4 years in the army (if I get in of course), to apply to become an officer if I have got the required GCSE and A levels.
Would I have to leave the army and then apply and would I be allowed to do that?
Or could I stay in the army in case I don't pass the tests to go to Sandhurst?

You see I've been thinking of doing the ICS learning courses which let you study at home and they do both GCSE and A level courses, this would suit me as it would let me join the army and I wouldn't have to go to college or university which I really don't want to go to!

Any help or insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm.. So not such a good idea after all then :D

Is it possible though, would I after 4 years or so be able to leave the army and then apply again as an officer?

The reason I'm asking this is because I really don't want to go to college, I've just recently left a sports course and I hated it, as I had to do a full time job as well. So by my thinking I might as well do what I want to do which is join the army, and then do the courses there.
