Any news from OASC this month ?

Post by 2nd time round »

Seasons Greetings to one and all,

I am enquiring to see if anyone has heard anything regarding places on I.O.T. from O.A.S.C this month ?. There was supposed to be a December sift for places and I was wondering if anyone had heard anything, positive or otherwise.
I have chased Cranwell up today and they said the people in the know are now on leave over christmas and to call back January 6th 2005 !. They also said that any correspondance could be stuck in the Christmas post and I could receive news anyday.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers !. :D

Is this likely to the way of things to come TJD? 2 IOT's per year?

Number of I.O.T's

Post by 2nd time round »

Hi TJD,

Thanks for the information, much appreciated. I know two of the lot that I went through OASC with are on I.O.T.'s in February and May next year as they have confirmed places. As for there only being two I.O.T.'s next year are these the only two ?.

Also, can you tell me if any of those that you look after have had positive news from the 10th December sift ?. I only ask because the people who gained places on I.O.T. next year didnt get their good news till much later than those of us who got our deferred letters.

Many Thanks !.

Getting in !

Post by 2nd time round »

Hi Semi,

First of all, congrats !, secondly, when did you find out and what branch did you get ?. I still haven't heard a thing although the post round my end is far from speedy. I also realise that they hold off on some places due to past experience with other people I know who got in.

Good luck in May !.

Jan 05 News

Post by 2nd time round »

Hi Lady1,

STILL no news, I managed to contact my local AFCO this afternoon and they have told me I could still be waiting for another week !. They did say however that this is a positive sign but could not make any promises. Same old RAF there !.

I have know a friend who waited as long as this and she got an offer of a place so you never know.

What news did you get Lady1 and what branch(es) did you go for ?.

Hi All,

Finally managed to get through to P2 at Cranwell !. My letter has only just been sent out today and I will receive it on Saturday.

I asked VERY politely if they could give me an indication of my status which no comment was the reply.
