Um at first you were just on about wearing Regi tops, now you have added a bit.
Also why the hell should I lie about what I do for a living, are you ashamed of what you do? if so grow a set and apply for something a little more war like instead of complaining about others that you are clearly jealous of.

Crafty, what is your problem? at first it was Regt Tshirts, now its lets not tell people what we do for a living!
Just because your not proud of your job, dont take it out on everyone else.
I dont wear Tp/Sqn tops to as you put it "show off" i wear them because Im damn proud of my regiment, and there is no way that Im going to pretend that Im not a British Soldier, I bet you are the drongo that always moans about everything in your unit, and you're always moaning on about how shit everything is and that the best thing to do is to sign off, well in your case crafty it is.
We are all entitled to our opinions and views but clearly your the only person on this forum that doesnt like wearing Regt kit, so why not keep them to yourself from now on, because you are boring, and as the above message states, why not rebadge, perhaps you may be fortunate as i am to be proud of your unit, if not do us all a big favour and f**K off moaning about tshirts

Join an Airborne unit (if you make it), see how hard selection is, then come back and see whether you are proud of your acheivements.

Ive got my intake on 16th January to ITC Catterick for Para Phase 1 training, and if i pass both Phase 1 and Phase 2 and get to battalion, i will 100% get myself some sort of clothing to show who i am, and what ive been through to get there.

I agree with Dragoon, i bet you are one of these people who are in a s#*t regiment and you havn't achieved anything. However, an Airborne soldier has to pass selection and earn his place in an Airborne Unit. Its the difference between Airborne and the rest of the army. If you dont like it, tough s#*t, but dont gob off to us about it.

I'll put my 2p's worth in aswell :)

I'm currently in the process of joining the Royal Marines (PRMC on 28th November). If I pass that and my 32 weeks commando training, I will be immensly proud of it and of my unit. I will wear t-shirts and I'm gonna 'hopefully' get a tattoo (of either the dagger or the crest).

I dont think it is wrong to be proud of your unit and also be proud of your own achievements. As others have said....these people have worked their butts off to earn that beret and they should be proud.

Crafty990 I dont mix civies and Military kit thats what builders do around a site you REMF nugget, I did wear civilian tops with a unit badge on however, and I will continue to do so when I get into the Marines.
Instead of gobbing off on here, next time you see some one wearing a Regi top with jeans, whether he be Para Reg or a Chef go and tell him what you think of his dress sense and see what happens.
You will never understand why people are proud of their units and like to show other people thier pride as you are from a unit thats achievements couldn't fill the back of a postage stamp.
So why dont you wise up or shut up.

Don't quite understand what you mean by that one and I wonder if you'd air that view when your píss wet through, have got your rover bogged in and I'm crewing the Foden thats tasked with your recovery.

I'm certainly proud to be in the corp that boasts the top ten percent of the most professional army in the world. That doesnt mean I fit that fact into every conversation I have. unlike, I'm sure, you chaps do. Maybe its the fact that I was required to have achieved something in the first place to get into the corp (GCSE's) that allows me to view the bigger picture with reguards to the army.

Don't kid yourselves, i love the army but the army's only interested in all it can get out of you these days. Thats why when I pop out on exercise in the next week, I'll be coming back in after 9 days to ensure I don't qualify for any LSSA. God bless.

Nows who ignorant, if you believe that those who want to do a combat job have no GCSE's, I have 1xB and 6xC and 3xD so I when I joined I was more than qualified to do any REME job as I am sure a lot of other people are.
Also seeing as you crew a Foden, that must mean you are a Recy Mech which arnt known to employ the brightest of sparks. As for being gratefull for you recovering me in a Rover, what I should have to thank you for doing what you are paid for. Many a time when I have needed REME help in the past, not only have I had to wait God knows how long as the commander of the vechile sent to recover me couldn't navigate for shit, I then had to listen about they have better stuff to do like get their head down in A2 and dont even get me started on the FRG what a bunch of dicks they are.
Any way enjoy your exercise and I hope all the lads that you recover are really gratefull for your being there, remember you that are the top 10% are there to serve the thickies in the Combat Arms, so pull my Rover out of that bog Bitch.

crafty, i should have known you were a recy-mech, i thought you were a tech for a millonth of a second, top 10%, i dont see why you need brains to drive a foden and to lob 60t shackels around, i wont even go into the lack of promotion that you'll endure.its a good job you dont like the army cos you'll save a mint on mess dress and rank slides ha ha ha
as for not getting lssa, well thats your loss and the army's gain you mug
top 10% my arse!
