After RSC!

Post by uk_Taylor »

When you pass the recruitment stage...do you have to wait for the AFCO to contact you or do you have to contact them?

They didn't say anything at the RSC, and I didn't think to ask! Do you wait for a letter to come though the post? or do you need to see them within 14days at the AFCO?

Seems a bit unprofessional to just forget about the people who they want to become soldiers! Congratsulations you have the job, you can come into work when ever you feel free! :-?

Give them a bell and tell them you passed, they will tell you what to do from there.

I have just contacted my AFCO after succesfully completing RSC today. They said to wait until tommorrow when i will officially be put down on the 'system' as Passed. Then i guess we sign the dotted line and wait for our intake, and train :D

The reality dosen't really hit you untill your in the middle of breacon in the snow breathing out your arse because you just run up and down every hill in sight with your rifle above your head ;).

Don't be put off by aything you hear though, lots you will hear some will be true some will not. I've just passed out basic 12 weeks i was very fit when joining - 9 min 1.5 mile 17 heaves etc. Was still the hardest 3 months of my life by far but when its all over its by far the most rewarding feeling you could ever experience. Good luck in the future and stick at it ps.... just keep bugging the AFCO you wont see them after you've been accepted fo trainning ;) sometimes they take ages so keep on their heels!!
If its not rainning its not trainning
