evening all, could anyone give me some info on what to take on this introduction weekend? Cheers

You should have been given a list of what to take no? Is that the documentation and medical weekend you're on about? If its the documentation then take you should have a list of passport, photo and stuff like that to take.

PS. There is a reserves forum below the main one for threads like this. :wink: Twice I've said that this week. :)

okdok, the next topic i post about rmr will be in the rmr forum... honest :oops: The thing is i went in on tuesday to get some info on the rmr and the corporal i was speaking to said that the selection weekend was last weekend. But i got a phone call on my way back saying i could join the troop, just turn up on fri at 7.30. Do i just need pt kit, civvies etc?

... There letting you join without any selection or medical or other pre-joining bits and peaces ? I can't say i'm not a little bit cheezed off with this. The amount of work i put into my phiz to get me through the selection weekend was phinominal, and somebody can just walk in off the street and join a new troop?
Either you have very recent military experience in a decent unit
or They think your super man (Although even superman should have to pass the selection weekend)...
or they're gonna get you sorted out with some sort of medical and selection process before you start... I hope.

yeah i was a little suprised too mate. I think i might be getting asessed by the pti's or something when i get down there. But i suppose if i'm not fit enough it'll soon show...

Hi mate, Which detachment are you attending, because I am having to wait untill next September before the Manchester Detachment will entertaine me.....let me know how you did it.
