Hi all,

I passed RSC Glencorse on Tues, am well chuffed! 8 mins 3 seconds on the run (am only going for RMP though!). If any one needs any advice about RSC ill be happy to help

Nice work. You should go Para Reg mate with that time. By the way, did your run have a hill in it?

I did it a week ago today, it was at the disused site and the last 1/4 of the run was uphill after some woods.

Cheers. I want to join the RMP Air Assault unit so i will hopefully get to do P Company training. Yeah there is a slight hill towards the end, i didn't like the route at all and it was pissing it down as well. There are markers everywhere so that really motivates you to push yourself.

Why do you want to join the RMP? Isnt it a better career in the civilian police force,, Better pay,, better career prospects etc..

sod the civvy police, i want to be in the Army. They may get better pay in civvy street, but i'm not going in for the money. I want to travel, and really get my hands dirty.

top man....hope you get your wish and join the RMP air assualt unit! I wanted to do that myself, but they wouldn't take A\S communications instead of english GSCE. The SSG wasn't too happy on my behalf, and he's noted I have more protential than what my qualifications show. I'm waiting on my RSC date, just waiting to put my all into it!

But nice one mate, glad to know someone like yourself is joining the RMP

Yeah i cant wait to join now. Good luck on you RSC, just give 100% and you will pass no problem (I wreckon RMP will take you if you have the presonal qualities they are looking for!)

Any info on the physical tests? How many press-ups and sit-ups did you do? Is it as hard as I'm thinking it's going to be? because i'm thinking it's going to be a bad.

Also whats in store for the medical? What was it really like? any touch and go moments weather you'd pass or not?

Any info will do to ease the mind! cheers!

RSC is a piece of piss. The hardest thing is the 1.5 mile run, the rest is all easy, you don't get beasted or anything. Its very relaxed and i had a good time and met some good lads down there. Enjoy it, and try your hardest because it is easy to fail on things like Team Tasks and Ice Breaker. Good Luck!!

i have RSC in a week or so.... i loathe making speeches so i`m not looking forward to the ice breaker

... any tips? Did anyone fail on this? if so how?
