Do you actually have any education? I'm assuming that if you do it wasn't past high school (that is if you're out of it yet) and that it wasn't in academic subjects such as History and English where you may have been taught how to construct a reasoned, coherent and persuasive argument rather than shouting the odds about subjects you clearly don't have a full understanding of.

If you want to have a look at the Second World War, then why not? First of all, I'm sure your WWII vets would take issue with your assertion that you should have fought on Hitler's side, given that your nation's most famous monument is the Statue of LIBERTY (go look up that word if you don't understand why it means you couldn't have sided with a fascist state). Second, if our navy "sucked" then why was the German's stated aim to emulate it, and why was it that we invented carrier warfare, and why is it that over 80% of all ships present at D-Day were from the Royal Navy? (That fact, by the way, is from Stephen E Ambrose, an American historian.) Re: the Me101 jet fighter, allied air superiority was down 100% to the British victory in the Battle of Britain, Summer 1940. So yes, their technology was better than ours (and yours, incidentally) but as Redhand pointed out they had no pilots left (thanks entirely to the RAF) to fly them.

WWI was won almost entirely because of the British blockade of German ports which meant that neither the army nor the civilian population had any food, the Americans did not get there until literally just before it ended. During that conflict, incidentally, the British Army invented the tank, you know, that thing that your army now can't live with out because your infantry soldiers are so appallingly trained.

With the very big exception of World War II, I would say that American military history really is nothing to be proud of. You only won the Revolution because of the French, although to be fair you deserved that win because taxation without representation is unjust. We whipped you in the War of 1812 (which you started) and then burnt the White House to the ground, which is why the one you see today is built so sturdily. WWI you could barely be bothered to help us out and Vietnam was an unmitigated disaster.

Why is it, do you think, that in South Baghdad Allied Command feels secure in replacing 1200 US troops with just 700 UK troops to do exactly the same job? Could it be that our troops are far better trained than US troops, as has been asserted numerous in Jane's Defence Journals? You have probably heard of Jane's, they are the experts in the field and they publish those big books on Guns, you know the ones next to your bed with the pages stuck together?

Well that's all from me. I look forward to you ill thought-out reply.
