As i am in my last year at school and im after joining the RMC has anyone (already in the marines) got any tips on getting fit enough or anything like that.
Hey mate...if you search you'll find heaps of helpful info, but this is what im doing:
Monday: 8 mile run
Tuesday: 10 x 100m sprints
Wednesday: 3 mile run
Thursday: 2 mile fartlek workout (sprint jog sprint jog)
Friday: 8 mile run
Saturday: rest
Sunday: rest
Also one monday, wednesdays and fridays i do:
Morning: max out on pushups (to test)
Afternoon: 32 x pushups
50x situps
20 tricep dips
4x pull ups
then i do the circuit twice more
Evening: 3x 32 Pushups
On tuesdays and thursdays i skip the afternoon circuit
Trainign is often a personal thing mind you, so this might not work for you. Put in your own number of reps for each excercise that makes it challenging but not impossible. If you can't complete the push-ups carry on doing them on your knees...so it'll carry on working your arms etc out.
This fits in with my school, study work and social life since it doesnt really take too much time per day.
Hope it helps, Gareth
