Well if you want to shout at people, then why not wear the number 118 and shout at every one that you have their number.

 If you see a weirdo running through south yorkshire with "118" scrawled on his t-shirt in black marker, with a couple of days stubble on his lip in an attempt to grow a 'tache... this was advice given to me by an ex-para

Cheers lads, thanks to your advice I’m fitter than I used to be, just the other day I played football for four hours full pitch, with occasional breaks of course. By the end all the other players (all 7 of them) were falling over and all that kinda crap, it seemed to be just me who continued to push on and get stuck in, not that I wasn't knackered, I was just pushing myself, and to be honest I’m sure a lot of that came from reading some of the posts on here, so nice one lads, really appreciate it.

PS I've got my first bullet as well, so I’m chuffed too *sigh* I really am too easily amused

whenever i go running i often sing songs in my head. but more than that, i use the time to think about things, be it an essay i'm working on for university, things i need to get done etc right up to if something has cheesed me right off i can get it out of my system.

i let myself go a bit, but i've gone from 15 stone 5lbs to 14 stone 4 lbs since 7th August, through not drinking, eating properly, and lots of exercise. i will get drinking again, but only in moderation. i feel great :D

oh and im not a fat munter particularly, i am a big lad though.

I always get the parade marching tunes going in my head and walk in step to them, when i am walking with a bergan. Gets my mind off the uncomfortable feeling of carrying a heavy bergan for long distances.

And then you find out these guys are actually on leave from the para's and they catch up with you very quickly LOL
It's better to be tried in court by 12 men than to be carried in a box by 6.

I find that, if you get running/exercising every day, it makes it alot easier to get out of the door. Its almost addictive now, i cant get enough of it. But i do enjoy my rest day, as it is equally important to the exercising itself.

Also, think about how much fitter you will get if you go out and train. I hate the feeling of being lazy and not doing anything, especially now im temporarily injured and i can only do upper body. I cant wait to get back out and run. But i suppose i am lucky, in that i have countryside almost all around me and i enjoy the scenery. I cant imagine training if i was in a big town :(

Hope this helps anyone who needs help :)
