Bronchitis!!

Post by tyke172 »

Wondering if anyone could help me with a little problem?

Does anyone know what the RAF's view on having suffered from bronchitis in the past? I'm asking cos i've got it at the moment and i've been given an inhaler to use till it clears.

I'm not joining for about two years but i'm shittin' it because if an RAF quack see's i've had to use an inhaler for a couple of weeks then he/she might get a bit funny because i know the deal with asthma and putting things back four years (even though it's not asthma).

Anyone with any info thanks in advance. :-?

As long as it's not recurrent I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem. Make sure your doc knows that your planning on applying for the military so that they put enough detail on your medical notes, that way when you do apply it will be clear that the inhaler was only for a short period of bronchitis, and nothing to do with asthma. Other than that, speak to someone at your local AFCO.
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
