Just woken up from a dream where I ran the 3-miler in 5 minutes and 37 seconds. Highly unlikely, given the amount of hills that seemed to be involved! But then I guess dreams are a bit like that....
Should get my results tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Well I guess its a bit like when you get recalled when your smear test comes back iffy.
Bootneck could advise on that. His last smear test was conducted under the strictest strict! In fact we had to whip him into the stirrups, but once there he settled down and provided the samples we needed. amazing what 240 volts can make people do.
Loz, you haven't had iffy smears on your mirrors have you?

Still no news!
Tried ringing the doctor this morning to see if they'd got my results, got a daffy receptionist instead.
Conversation went thus:
"Hi, I'm just calling to see if you've got my blood test results back from the hospital yet"
"When did you go?"
"Friday"
"Oh no, we only get one delivery a day and it doesn't come until about 2, half 2"
"Er right, it's just that the hospital said that they would take 4 days, so today at the latest"
"No, we don't count saturday and sunday as days. Which doctor asked for you to take blood tests?"
"Actually it's for the RAF, so the hospital said they would put them through as priority"
"Yes, but which doctor?"
"...??"
"What's your name?"
(Ooo, finally, she's actually going to go and have a LOOK and see if they've come back!)
"No, we've not got them, we only get one delivery a day you know, and it's not till 2"
(AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!)
So am I supposed to ring the surgery every day, or might they call me when the results are back? Cos I didn't give them Cranwell's fax number on purpose, so they won't know what to do with these results, and I may get to find out what they are before the Med. Board!
Answers on a postcard please...

You will do well in the Crabs. 4 Four quattro working days. I know you work Sat and Sun in the hospitality trade, but for goodness sake this is the real world. Wait until Thursday 1500 then you won't be disappointed.
It's only your career at stake, relax, it might have been something important.

Somebody hand me a box of tissues, there's gonna be a flood...
OK, the RAF has received one page of fax, I call the docs to get the other page sent through, I call th RAF to let them know it'll be with them some time today, they tell me they haven't had the doc's questionnaire back. I ring the docs again, she's been off sick for 2 weeks and SHE'S TAKEN MY NOTES HOME WITH HER!!!!!
Do they know when she'll be back, no, they don't even know where she is, she could be in hospital! Look, I sympathise, I really do, but this is my career riding on this questionnaire getting back to the RAF some time this week, and they don't know where the farkin doctor is?
I am not gonna go through all the application process, pass OASC first go, get to know some of the lads who are gonna be on my course, put myself through hell with the medicals etc, only to be told I can't get in because the doctor's gone off sick!
Somebody once told me that nothing worth doing was ever easy, if that's the case, joining the RAF is going to be the best experience of my life.
I just hope my doctor gets better so I can actually join!

It's not unuasual for medical staff to make mistakes, They told me I had not broken my leg an to calm down. So I kindly informed them of the new joint that had appeared in the middle of my shin, too which he replied, "Oh, well you may have a slight fracture".
The medical staff at Cranwell are being really helpful, I'd be having a breakdown or something if it wasn't for them. (Slight exaggeration, but you get the point!)
They are now dealing direct with my doctors to try and get the situation resolved in my favour. Saves my phone bill AND stress levels! Only downside is that I don't really know what's happening, but I'm sure they'll let me know if there's anything I need to do.

My doctors' surgery has now miraculously found my notes, and will have everything faxed to Cranwell tonight.
Would love to have heard the SAC I spoke to putting a rocket under that receptionist...
