A Muslim Takeover
In the old testament of the bible christians are told to stone prositutes to death. An that adulterers need to be executed, as well as a few other unpleasant things. Do you have a problem with people who read the bible? Not all muslims are hook-handed, plane crashing psychopaths. However, any of them who even listen to these extremists need deporting.

That is why we have laws. That is why I'll take ethics over morals any day.
Religion does not clearly differentiate between murder, execution and genocide, nor is it its role.
That is also a reason for the separation of church and state, something which doesn't exist in too many countries and is being eroded in the US.
Politicians overall are a strange breed born without balls, yet sporting a blue veiner (a stiffy for the uninitiated) for death. They share this with similarly ambitious members (no pun intended) of the clergy, be they muslims or christians.
In point of fact there ain't but a hair's breadth difference between the lot of them.
As an example, when GWB was governor of Texas, his attitude towards the death penalty was akin to that of a kid holding a magnifying glass to an anthill. Bullies all, and dangerous ones at that.

Yep, extremists and countries with corrupt governments. It doesn't reflect all muslims.thenewshmoo_1 wrote:Reading the bible and acting out the bible are completely different....unfortunately those Muslim rapists dont know the difference. Speaking of adulterers being executed, muslims actually do that to this day.

Where does the bible say that????Yeah sure not all muslims are extremists just as all the Germans weren't Nazis during WW2.bigbart wrote:In the old testament of the bible christians are told to stone prositutes to death. On your last sentence you hit the nail on the head. You'd be surprised how many listen to them. Recruitment to their cause is getting better and better among young muslims born and bred here in english schools. I know. I work in a majority Asian area in the public service.

I don't know the exact passages of the Bible, I'm not a big fan of it, to be honest. I know that these things were standard back in those days and the bible makes references to it. It also says "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." My point is, both books are outdated, the bible and qu'ran. Things happened back then that are unacceptable now. There may be extremists who twist the laws of their religion for their own benefits, and that's wrong. Religion is a comfort to some people.. anyone who uses it for their own personal gain needs slotting. Muslims (and christians) should follow the laws of the land they live in, and use their religion as comfort (or whatever.) Listening to the twisted words of an extremist who contradicts the laws of the very religion the claim to follow.

I hope this may clarify. The following passage is where Christ was asked the same question about stoning to death.
John 8:3
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

I was talking about the old testament, though, where stoning adulterers is the law. As your quote said, Moses commanded the stoning. In the old testament, Moses was the one who brought the 10 commandments down from a mountain (or something like that.) I'm not a bloody Bible scholar, I just remember what we learnt at school in R.S

I am not a bible scholar either Bart although I attend church. Frankly what the Bible says and what the Quran says is not the point. What it is about Islam is that they are using it as a political means of ruling in their countries and when they are here, it doesn't bode well with democracy. Islam needs a major overhaul if it is to coexist peacefully with non-muslims in the west and avoid wars elsewhere.
PS I am orthodox and we don't do old testament hence no stoning of anyone.

I agree with you, all I'm saying is that the extremists and corrupt governments don't reflect all muslims the world over. My point was, anyone who uses religion to meet their own needs is not following the rules of that religion, be they Muslims, Christians or whatever. Look at the Salem with hunts, an example of Christianity doing what a lot of extremist muslim groups are doing today... Twisting the words of the books to get what they want. I agree that the muslims still behaving this way need to be dealt with, but there are intelligent people out there, eg doctors, surgeons, even market traders etc. who are Muslim. They say their prayers and don't eat pork, but still think that the attack on the world trade centre was a tragedy, believe it or not.
I remember seeing a show on TV where a British soldier had raped and killed a woman while serving in cyprus. It went on to say that a lot of civilians were attacked out there by squaddies. Would it be fair to brand the whole British army as bullies and nonces? Don't tar everyone with the same brush, as Artist said.

I don't disagree with you then bart. I am talking about Islam in general. I have met muslims that are abhorrent of the WTC attacks, terrorists and beheadings etc. I still have yet to find one to say : 'well done mr. Bush' I still think that islamic countries need democratisation.
where do you think islamic terrorism has stemmed from?

I don't think Islam has much to do with it. The terrorists call it "jihad" probably to influence the gullible amongst muslims to join them. Saddam Hussein wasn't a muslim until he wanted the support of the shi-ites. If Iraq was a largely christian country, he'd have probably got himself christened.
