well i started uni last sept, but i decided that it was not for me, and it felt right to apply for RM Officer.
If I dont get through, I would think about having yet another year out to travel and prepare all the areas which I failed on.
On the other hand, I made up my mind that the RM is for me, so I think joining without a commission is a realistic possibility.
I'll look into it a bit further when I get there! But one think is set in stone - I hate insurance!

Well I might see you at AIB if I get through POC!

Did you find that you were well prepared for the POC? Any top tips?

ADVICE

advice is the noun and advise is the verb similar to practice and practise.

Can you call a Marine a Grunt??

They are capable of thinking for themselves whilst maintaining a command structure.

Becoming a Marine is still a ridiculously amazing achievement and should not be scoffed at.

Tom

PS: Was thinking of Officer now I have decided that the lifestyle of a 'grunt' is more suited to me.
