Ah, you lucky bar steward!

Naa, i'm still in 'personal' training. I don't want to apply and fail the entrance tests and have to wait some time before i can try again.

Out of interest, when did you first walk into the AFCO to apply? (wondering roughly how long the whole process takes for the paras right now)

Regards,

Cinder

alrite cinder mate,

mine was a bit of a joke. i first went in september 2003. i was waitingfor four months because they couldn't get a reference of my old headteacher(muppet). i went to RSC in january but failed the medical, on the eye test. i have only just gone back there a couple of weeks ago.

But after i went there and made the run time I got a letter a couple of days later saying mt intake date was October. So if you have all the forms and can get the run time it can go through quite quickly. I just had a few problems but now im in and I cant wait to get there.

I also think that they try to delay Para' apllicants on purpose.

The officer in my final interview kept offering me places in other regiments, saying "you can still jump out of planes but you can have a trade aswell".

Hi guys,

I passed RSC yesterday and my recruiter reckons I should be on the October intake, just waiting for my confirmation.

Fingers crossed!

My application was delayed as well, and i got the whole there are para trained soldiers in other regiments and all that bullshit, i said thats all i want to do theres no changing my mind. I should get a RSC date in the next few weeks based on my Insight Course review and the SGT said i should be on the Oct Intake as well, hopefully because i have been waiting long enough.
