Yes, the PTI's. In our gymn test two they beasted us and everyone hated them as they walked around shouting at us telling us to do pressups because we did something wrong etc. Then at the end of it all when we stretched down the main PTI spoke in a really calm, quiet and soothing voice and being really nice to us as though we'd hurt ourselves and he actually cared. But lo and behold he went and beasted us a few seconds later again and made us sprint about all over the gymn and ran us all stupid before we left  .

Wilky, did your beasting last any longer than 15 minutes. On my PRMC, we were doing those sprints for just over 15 minutes. That hurt like hell. I would of much rather they said " ok now lets go for the 3 miler ". It sounds insane but that would of been my preferance.

Yea. After the 5 different game things, we had to put the kit away, then we started stretching off, and I thought we had finished... little did I know that the worst was about to come! Yea our sprints lasted a while, I couldn't tell you how long it was but it was certainly long enough. We had to run the centre of the hall then back 2 times then to the other side of the hall and back 2 times and we did that a few more times. I really hate it when the staff says "Okay lads, last time and if you give it an all out effort then we wont make you do it again... however if we think you're slacking off then we'll make you do it 5 more times" or something to that effect. I think someone gave up during the sprints at the end on my course... i can't see why though... that was the last bit of phys we had to do... :-?

When was your PRMC? Someone dropped off in the sprints on my PRMC. I found it quite funny that he had got so far then just decided to quit. I just couldnt believe it.

My PRMC was on January 13th-16th 2004. 42 lads went down there and 14 passed. I might have said that already in this thread or maybe it was another. Anyway on bottom field i forget what my time was, but it was crap, but the corporals were forgiving saying that it was some of the worst conditions to do it in. It was drizzling and wet so everything was slippery and blowing a god damn hooly outside. Someone on the zig zag wall just before the barbed wire and sand pit got blown off. You could practically lean on the wind :P . When was your PRMC? Yea people tend to drop out at the strangest of times :-?

Mine was december 2nd. ALthough it wasn't very windy it was raining pretty hard. This ment that while we were in the press up position on the hill, we were all sliding done which was quite funny. Many of us were faling flat on our faces. I found that crawling on the floor was the hardest that killed me, but i loved every minute of it.

You're supposed to take a knife, fork and spoon yes. They do provide them but take them anyway. You dont need a mug as they provide you with a mess tin, but take one if you want to, it doesn't matter.

Civilian clothing for travelling and for 'clean' periods of the course.
Enough cash for sundries (£25 is usually sufficient).
Is it neccesary to bring the black shoe polish and brushes to PRMC? What would one use these for? Exactly what do they want you to use them for?

Cheers, Brent

Yes. You use them for polishing your boots. Which you will get stinking on the bottom field. Also, take a plastic toothpick, this will help to get out the little bits of gravel that get stuck in the boots.
