Cheers JMC, hope I run into you at some point, give me an idea as to what to expect in the first few weeks!! Jimmy, surname (don't laugh now) Potts, doubt it'll matter much as it's all down to bib numbers/colours, but hey, guess we'll both be there!! I'm already organising my pass-out party (amazing the amount of philly who will talk to you when they find out you're going to Royal than anything else!!), so I best pass the course!! Seriously, fare thee well if we don't meet up down there. BTW, I'm on the train getting into Lympestone Cdo at 13:11.

Uh, yeah, it was that bad!! Though it's already fading to a distant memory...

Got good gym scores:
Bleep 11.12 (thought I'd max this, which pissed me off a bit)
50 press ups (more than I've ever done in one sitting, I think because they said if you can't do anymore they'd give marks for effort for holding the front support position; so I got to about 40, then did one every 10 seconds or so for the rest!!)
64 sits
5 pull-ups (one deducted for crossing legs!!)
Got picked up 3 times for wiping sweat away, first time genuine, others I went to do it and stopped meself, but still got press-ups.

Swimming, about 60 press ups around the pool for all, one lad puked on the side, PTI not at all impressed.

Bottom field bloody hard, lost a few lads there. Assault course 3.41 (not great, I know, but I was hanging right out by this point).

3 miler, piece of piss, came in 4th.

Gym test 2 - screwed this up on the first stand, lobbing the medicine balls. Could not for the life of me get them over the bench. Need to do a bit of work on that methinks!! Rest of it okay, just shut off the brain and keep me legs going. I found this harder than bottom field. Worried I'd fail on it, but at the end of it the Cpl (can't remember his name, PTI, keeps going on about how hard he is, not Cpl White) took all of us who were left into the lecture room, and except one lad who already knew he'd failed we all passed.

56 entries, 7 didn't turn up, 25 passed.

And I already don't like Cpl Hill...he was especially pissed off when he was recognised AGAIN out of the Green Bible!!

Foundation is beckoning, even though I'm still not walking properly!!

Cheers lads. Asked AFCO to start foundation end of July.

Braywick, no idea, not done one for years.

Benno: in the gym, do NOT fidget, scratch, wipe sweat away, or anything. If you're told to stand still, stand at ease tensed up (you'll be shown). The rest of the time, keep marking time and keep your knees up...it bloody hurts but you'll get less grief from the PTIs. And pay attention when you're hanging out or you'll do something wrong or not react quick enough and attract extra beasting. Apart from that, remember, it's only pain, and it will end soon...don't wrap!!

BigJimmy also passed (and he really ain't that big!!).
