No beastings. You'll get there, get a full medical, get a chat from the staff, and do some of the phys tests like the Beep. Evening spent at the NAAFI. Second day you'll finish the phys tests and have your formal interview then go home. Piece of piss.

WE GOT BEASTED! Its not a piece of piss, if it does become a piece of piss then you can't be putting 100% into it.

What would be the point of beasting people at RSC? The staff must have been proper Charlies. If RSC isn't a piece of piss then you've not prepared yourself enough and seriously need to think about getting your finger out before you head to Basic. RSC is the medical, some phys tests and a brief interview. If you struggle with any of that then you have problems.

Of course one persons ideas about "beastings" aren't necessarily the same as someone else's.

same here!!!
i'm probably the worst when it comes to chins!!!
but i've also heard that it isn't that bad if you can't do much...
i heard from a friend that they just want to see you try your best...
don't know if it's true...
they want to see a good run though!!

I think 2 heaves, not chins, were a pass before but obviously they will be looking for a bit of effort not "2 heaves and that's it I've done the minimum required". Good attitude is key. I did quite well on mine. We had a bit of paper with our results written in by the staff and I thought mine said 8 which I was quite disappointed by and figured I must have had some discounted or something for incorrect form. When I reread it it was 18. A much happier bunny :D

I went through about 3 or so years ago and there were no pressups/situps required. We did those during Basic.

Don't know about BMIs but there's more leeway to being heavier than lighter but there is a definite limit which they will not accept beyond regardless of how fit/muscular you are. You should want to lose a bit of weight for when you start Basic. PT's no fun otherwise.

if there are no sit ups or press ups i will be pissed off. Ive trained bloody hard from only being able to do 18 push ups max to 48 max. i want to do them to show them off as im really proud of myself. I may have to walk in the gym to be given some by the PTI just so i can do some :x
