Selection process

Post by J J »

Hi!
Just a few quick questions:
I'm from Germany.I'm a fully qualified electrician back there, speak both languages, now living in London.I've been here three weeks now, waiting for a date to go to Pirbright for selection.Does anybody know if my german civilian qualification is enough to go for electrician in the Engineers? No one could tell me in the careers office because i went to a german school and don't have GCSE's...
I got 65 on the BARB test, had my interview weeks ago...
The running will be no problem, the only thing i'm worried about is my weight(88kg's at 1.78m height).I would also like to know how many sit ups, push ups, pull ups are required to pass selection?I'll have to work on them a bit...
Hope somebody can help!

im 6ft 3 (189cm) and weigh 96.5kgs and i have been told i need to loose 2 kgs to go forward to selection - the AFCO told me this at the last minuite. I would suggest getting weighed by the AFCO and asking them if you make the weight requirements as at the end of the day they are the ones who put you forward for the selection tests.

As for fitness, please see my previous post "frustration re recruitment process" as wothersoriginal gives some excellent advice.

Good Luck mate.
