British soldier burns: A taste of things to come?
I think that most people will agree that this type of incident is likely to
re-occur. That is the nature of the beast nowadays. Our government is now and will in the future comit our Armed Forces to operations where serious public order problems will occur.
Alot of the skills used in BASRA now by our troops were aquired in Northern Ireland.
The Snatch vehicles used there I believe have come from N.I. (you can see where they have sprayed out the CONFIDENTIAL TELEPHONE number on the SIDE !!!). They are using long ARMADILLO shields which they use here also. I did see that one or two of the guys hit were not wearing any gloves. I hope to god that they have proper issue of equipment
i.e. gloves.
Once again N.I. is shown as one of the best training grounds for the British Army !!!!!

URNU,
I think your signature was a bit out of place as regards above.

Well those stupid assed Israeli's have gone and done it. That act will just draw our governments deeper into this conflivt. I'm sorry your men got burned btw. Maltov's are sinister weapons. I am suprised those troops didn't mow down the crowd. I wonder if the Izzy plan is to get us more involved in their war against the Arabs? Well there won't be any peace anytime soon over this.

Whitey it's called control. Self control. These men may be young but they are disciplined. Their training is orientated towards crowd control without unnecessary loss of life.I am suprised those troops didn't mow down the crowd
The Molotov is difficult to spot by day, obviously easier to avoid by night.

I don't agree Whitey, The Israelis are more than capable of looking after their own back yard. If we left them alone they would clean up in no time.
Actually they are absorbing some of the scum that would be paying attention to our countries if they weren't blowing themselves up in Tel Aviv. It's one of those conversations and wars that will circle and fester for ever.
On the radio this morning an American asked why our government can sit down alongside Adams and McGuinness but Sharon cannot talk to Arrafat; and why we had never declared war against the IRA when the Israelis are openly talking of war with the Palestinians. There was one simple response. The IRA/Sinn Fein bombed and murdered, the Palestinians Bomb and murder; however at least the IRA have realised there is success and progress by talking (No matter how galling we find it), the Palestinians refuse to stop their Intafada and enter talks aimed at saving lives. As long as one suicide bomber is walking the streets there will never be peace.

We'd probably toss a grenade at them and then blame the explosion on them had they pulled that stunt on us. I'm telling you this stunt Israel pulled will cause ncreased and probably a violent response on our troops that will shock Americans in particular into crying for an extermination of these people. The people who are the worlds proffesional sufferer's are crafty in getting others to fight their enemies. They could have gotten Yassir any time they wanted, why now? They losing a settlement? Got a bigger agenda? I know many disagree with me, but I see how these people work, study history. Get some sucker to fight your war and make him think it was his idea.
