phase one

Post by Tilly »

Hi

Can anyone tell me what you get paid as an infantryman on phase one training.

Also I've heard that you only get a part (£40 I think) of your pay each week and get the rest as a lump sum at the end of training. Don't know if that's right or not but if anyone knows if you do and any figures it would be much appreciated.

Lastly, if anyone's been to Catterick any info would be great, like accomodation, what you can take, what you can't take and any insider tips.

cheers.

I think that it will be the same as I joined.

When you join you won't have time to spend much.

I joined and got paid about 18 pounds per day. (IN '88 !!!!!)

Tilly.

The 40 quid is the weekly amount you receive as a cash payment, although sometimes they pay you 80 quid every fortnight. This goes on until approximately week 8, when the Army pay Gods have got there act together and you receive your pay direct to bank, at this point you have access to all your funds (what's left of it after stoppages :o ).
