Why would you have to wait 4 months after PRMC before starting training?
There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't.

Its not 4 months after my PRMC though. Work it out. PRMC 18th November. Thats about 2 months away. Then on completion of the PRMC its probably gonna be 2 months till recruit training.

Can we stick to who wants to do this para weekend and not when your PRMC is. Not tryin to be a nob but there is a Marines forum and I hate it when the subject is changed...

I did that weekend when I was 15. The 1 para recruiting team down there were all invovled with the attack on the west side boys in sierra leone. I don't know if it was coz of that but we spent most of the time in stress positions, sprinting everywhere, and getting screamed at. I dunno about coming back - there was a college course there and after a lot of complaints from his students the teacher decided they were gonna leave early :D. I thought it was great though - we got to jump off a parachute tower.

Well whilst I was away at my TA course I had my travel warrant come through, so looks like ill be going down there to have a look see, although lately I’ve been wondering if the Para’s are actually right for me, and have been looking at the marines in allot more detail...

Ill have to see what this weekend comes up with...

my travel warrant came the morning i was meant to leave. I didn't know anything about the course until then. I was actually skiving school on the day. Oh yeah, and then they forgot to ask for the parental consent slips too. And they had loads of us packed into a 9 seater minibus... and the driver wasn't qualified to drive it... Come to think of it, it wasn't the best organised course but it was still good :D

Not sure when these two lads went on the course, but there description of it was very similar to the one I did. I actually wrote a log of everything I did there but its two A4 pages long :-? so dont think im gonna type all that up lol. There description misses out a few things, and details however will give some ppl a small insight onto what kind of things to expect.

(btw, i loved the course and wud have stayed down there for much longer if I had the chance, but different courses are run by different instructors so some weeks are better than others)
