iv e been around the forces all my life and it really depends on the girl mate! if she has lived in an area close too her family all her life then you MAY have problems. being posted abroad with her is one thing, but you need to give worst case scenarios to her. eg, posted to germany-no family around-then you go on tour for 6 months, is she ok with that?
then again many women love the life and just keep busy while enjoying the LOA !
in training keep in contact a lot and keep writing to each other.

mate if you want to go RA and you dont want to move arount a lot then 29 would be good, you dont do the 27 odd weeks that the marines do because you are already fully trained you just do the last 8 week test phase to get your green lid. also the only places you get posted to are arbroth and plymouth unless you go for 148 in poole :)
