Or how about the one you'remost interested in? Considering you'll be spending a large portion of your life in this, it's folly to select a job simply because you can, it's important to do what you really want to do. Just ask all the blokes here with university education who are joining the RM as regular marines. Similarly while your qualifications might be suited to communications perhaps, that doesn't in any way rule out other trades

Your best bet is to go down the your nearest afco and get some trade leaflets from there. I was thinking of one of the enginering trades but got D grades in GCSE maths and science last year, so have gone for the trade of telecommunications operator (its not as boring as it sounds)
Anyway good luck to you

Trade Tests
When you approach your local AFCO with an interest in joining the RAF, they can book you in to sit the Airmen's Standard Test (AST). This is the first step for Non-Officers/Aircrew.
The test is multiple choice and takes about 2 hours. It covers the following: Numerical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Electrical Comprehension, Mechanical Comprehension, Work Rate, Memory Test and Spatial Reasoning. Be warned - you don't get much time for each section, so you have to work FAST.
The scores that you get for individual sections + your overall score dictate what trades you can apply for. There are biases in certain tests towards certain trades. For instance:
Maths, Mechanical Comp and Electrical Comp = Techie trades.
Maths and Verbal reasoning = Admin
Be able to write your name at the top of the paper = Regiment Gunner
If you're going to take the test, I advise that you do some revision...check out your old GCSE maths, english and technology (mechanical/electronics) books. You could also get a 'How to Pass Aptitude Tests' type question book from a decent bookseller.
