Jason. Try reading around a bit. Both here, and search for other RM sites. But basically, yes. What do you want, a kiss and a cuddle and, "Try again, you'll do fine"??

Okay Jason, perfectly calm. Basically, read Gripper's diary (sticky topic top of this section, or on www.mfat.co.uk), that explains it. But they beast you to f**k, then expect you to perform, then they do it again the next day. If you fail, it's game over. Generally, you get two chances (ie. if you fail your first PRMC you'll be allowed to attempt another before they stop you applying). They have requirements for some things (press-ups, sit-ups, over-arm chin-ups, bleep test, 3-miler), but above all they want determination and will power throughout.

In the green bible it says you get three chances at any test. Does that not include the PRMC?

Granted the bible says that, but my AFCO assured me that two chances was the norm...however he is a Navy toff, no Marines at Chatham (ie, may be wrong!!). Having said that, if you reckon you need three chances, maybe you should start thinking about how much work you should do before you join?? (Not meant in any sort of bad sense, just that you should be going to pass first time every time, and if you don't think you can, you shouldn't be going in).

Me too, but I think if you get injured you should unlimited chances (unless it's a recuring injury and they know it will happen again) otherwise you could end up losing out just because you were unlucky.

I would imagine that suffering injury during PRMC would be taken into account, and you may be given an extra chance, assuming the injury was not present before the PRMC; if it was, then they'll say you should have deferred the course til a later date.
