hi all
im probably posting this in the wrong place but i just wonderd
of thoes that are married and looking to join up or thoes that are married and all ready in
how many have sat down and talked about joining up with the wives and listened realy listend to there wories and concerns before going for it i only ask as i have recently decided to re enlist all be it TA but as its TA medics there is a high chance of mobilzation to trouble spots so it is a real concern to my wife and my children dont realy understand what daddy wants to do and why
anyone got any suggestions on how to tell a 3 yr old daddys going away to try to keep people alive?

Yes, A 3 year old is totally ego centric and the only way to explain something like that is to use emotion ...

Daddy: You know 'Insert Childs Name' Dan when you hurt and you cry and mummy kisses you better? well daddy is going to and help other little children that have been hurt, to stop them crying. When you cry you know mummy gets upset ... do you want Mummy to get upset aswell? then she'll cry? Well daddy is going to go and help all the mummys stop crying
