When I went down the navy man started talkin about pull ups for about 2 minutes "you have to jump up, go rights down, hold for 3 secs, up...." He must of thought that I was a right unfit twat. Didnt talk about much else - brief points about selection, that was basically it. Just gave me some booklets and an application form. Was in and out in about 20mins.
Need to get anohter application form though. filled 1st one in but out of date. Cant be arsed going in so ill just phone them om monday.

If youve got a criminal record I would seriously think of some good answers to put in.
Before I even sat down he asked how old i was and if I had a criminal record (18 and No, by the way). Was also surprised by the age of them - one was mid-20s, other was about 20 at most. Always thought theyd be in 40s at least

Hi Tom
If you're going to the AFCO at Sheffield i wouldn't worry too much about them making you do anything like press-ups or pull-ups at the initial contact stage.
The Navy guys there were friendly, informative and very proffessional and they weren't as patronising as you expect them to be.
Give them a call or drop in and get the ball rolling!
