if i was you (your age) i would just chuck myself into any sports possible, join the cross country running club, i wouldnt bother with road running as you will only shag your knees up. you could do press ups and sit ups but they aint to important if you have such a long term plan, you will only need to worry about these in the year before you join, but the sit ups should be easy if you are physicaly fit.

Have a look around the rest of the site, i find the best way to train is to read up everyones thoughts, then make up your own schedule.

Why are you waiting until 18? why dont you join up at 16-17?

Good luck with it all.

If you definetely want to join the paras but you want A levels then get an army scholarship for university, they basically give you about £15,000 and then you are commited to joining for 4 years ( which it sounds like you'd do anyway).
Can't crack me, I'm a rubber duck!

Alright guys,

I have just applied 4 an army scholarship. It is hard to get but f***in worth it. Money aside, if you get the scholarship you have a guarenteed place at RMAS and in a regiment of your choice which is far more important than the money. 8)

Cheers.
