mental arithmetic, speed of velocity, memory, spacial awareness, hand-eye coordination, reaction speeds. Not an awful lot you can do to practice, basic physics, chemistry, electronic and engineering questions come up so practice them, basic mental arithmetic, play action computer games to help with reactions but the tests are really about 'inate skills' which cannot be practiced.

I was looking at the example questions on that site about finding the time taken to cover a certain distance in a given speed, when finding an answer is their any margin for error or does the answer have to be to the second?

well for mental arithmatic against the clock there is slim chance to get an answer to the second for some of them eg. time to travel 80miles at 70 mph

(answer is 1hr 8min 34sec)

well you might as well practice them anyway because you will need them in your group planning exercise

Hi,
I'm due to re-sit my aptitude test on 9th June and I'm not 100% sure but, I think the corporal who I was dealing with mentioned something about my 1st lot of scores going towards my 2nd. Is this true?

your results stand for life, so if you do worse this time round you can still use your first lot. As for them 'going towards' the second score I would doubt it, but maybe that is what he meant.
