Royal Marine and Royal Marine Commandos
The only time I can think of when something happened like this was in 1984/5, I was on the training team of 500 or 509 troop one or the other. The troop and two NCO's went up to Offa's Dyke north Wales on a Home Guard Ex organized by the MOD. The troop was under the command of a real Capt Mannering with little to no head for tacticks or warfare some f##k up , the troop were back trooped 2 weeks on mass, thay didnt like that. Sticks were you there , a lot of Royal Marine Bandsman were on the Ex, One of the fighting fit oboe players had a heart attack on the yomp up to the top of Offa's Dyke, the ex was only 20 minutes old skiving barstard, (I hope he was alright)it was'ent you was it Sticks

Surely, Sticky you should have shouted 'rat-a- tat - tat Stoppage' with a GPMG followed by 'they shot me lads, you go on without me, I will be OK!
Followed by the sound of tea making and ciggy lighting. Plus fumbling for a mars bar.
Or am I getting confused again ???
