Resting will result in a boll*cking from the PTI and you may be made to stop the test. As long as you are going up and down and do not rest(rest is more than 5 seconds stopping) they wont bother you too much.

You might like to try something ive been 'playing with'. Every song has a beat and you do pressups to that. Obviously if its some dance track your not going to do well ( unless you have arms the size of a gorilla), so you can go up and down to every other beat.

Bang up bang down bang up bang down. Another idea ive done is to keep to the beat above during the verse and on the chorus every beat means 1 pressups. I can assure you it works and conditions the body to working to different speeds and will improve. All i can say is try it.

Its also good for situps and i found eastenders tune to be good for pull ups going on every 'beat' .

Best bet is to do them really slowly at one rep every 6 secs. Don't hold it anywhere and keep moving but slowly. It will really test your muscles and in time enable you to do it for the full 2 mins.

Sticky is right. dont go down to CTC till you can pump out pressups for 2 minutes. One question which I think I already know the answer to... When you have hit 60 you can stop rite? :)

You would have to pause, raise an enquiring paw and ask quietly, "I say Corporal old chap, is that enough to be going on with?"
Don't expect to be consoled and congratulated.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

hehe. Out of nowhere i've just had a huge increase on my press ups. I started doing em got up to 40 stopped wondering what the f*ck was goin on cos it was so easy lol. I could do 60 of the basic style pressups but wi armed tucked in I could only do about 28 in one set and at that my arms would be dead. May have summat to do wi me using pressup bars so my arms have been raised while doing the arms inward style push up. So when i did them without that they are so easy. Gonna make sure I can pump out 60 easily with no sign of tiredness before I go down
