i went for paras. the bloke at the recruiting office helped me along, what i said is that it was always something i wanted to do . i also said the life style had attracted me and this is quite a valid reason as it is unique to the army. if you wanted to you could also say you wanted a challenge.

I'll add to that one,

"I really wanna join the army, but the marines have ships and stuff, thats way cooler."

damn...........new we should have kept our hovercraft squadron.

Have to pick you up on your grammar though rabby, I think the correct phrase to use is:

"I really wanna join the army, but the marines have more ships and stuff than the army, they are are also newer and bigger and thats way cooler. Oooh ooh, the marines also have those quality hoverthings, they're cool too. Bling"

The bling is now compulsory apparently.

When asked, say nothing. Take an immaculate sheet of paper from your pocket, and write onto it "cuz is iz well 'ard" and hand it to the recruiter, before standing up to perform the funky chicken. You can't fail :).
