The oldest participant, today, first did the thirty miler in 1951.

Voodoo Sprout...... That really depends on how you see, Old and Bold retired Booties, of all shapes taking themselves on a Yomy over Dartmoor on a wet and windy Saturday. Some, I would hazard a guess, might call it reckless. But to others, as they so rightly say, its a matter of pride,(and sheer bloody stubbornness) and rightly so! :D

Feel a bit guilty that working for filthy lucre had to take precedence over attending and I only live down the bloody road!

Well done to all who took part

Thanks Andy, and a special thanks also to Lurchenstein for your very generous 'Birthday' sponsorship contribution, which I was told about as I went through the 13th pain barrier near Hexworthy..... fair kept me going.

I'm still jet lagged and posted on the 30 Miler thread before seeing this one! Doh! :-?

Toronto and Niagara were FABULOUS but quiet due to SARS. Steph and I were the only tourists at the top of the CN Tower at one stage, a real shame for Toronto, and we were the only guests on the eighth floor of our hotel! Wonderful people the Canadians, who gave us a very memorable holiday, and were so grateful that we had supported them.

All in all that was the best 65th birthday I've ever had.

Speaking of which, I wonder if anyone swamped.
 At least one person did Harry - never been one to disappoint  All I can say is Simon Bywater (on the bottom pit) is a very lucky man - aren't modern sleeping bags absorbent :o Yorkie must take part of the blame though  and for my fluent Spanish turning into fluent gibberish in quick order.

Thanks to all for organising and supporting the event. I hate to single anyone out but Black Rat deserves a chuck up for the oggies and for seeing us all off in such style. Sunday dinner - oggy with a banana for pudding

I was truly humbled by the older yompers - cracking effort by all though. Maybe I'll do some training for next year
