yep I can remember them, used to see them stuck to all sorts. I think most of them came from the display company at poole. I found some small ones at home, sticky button badges with a cartoon bootneck on them saying " I've met the Marines"

Funny what we keep.

yep. I had one with ski marines and another with dive marines. with the aid of a pair of scissors these were put together to much more accurately discribe the average day knocking about the coy lines.

Yep, used to have a CLIMB MARINES on my helmet (climbing not Mk 6). Wasn't the sign on Heartbreak Lane 800m to go?

The sign is still at Heartbreak, 400 m to go, painted by Art Huddart.
'Fly Marine' I do remember when NI got silly and we all had to remove our squadron badges from our cars, really pissed me off that because some mud brained Mick might ................. hello Nurse, what a shiny syringe you've got............... :o

Thats the one's big red nose and cheeks. I think you might be right about him being the same as the sign on Heartbreak, mind you by the time I saw the sign, I was to far gone to notice much :)

Must be collectors items by now, I have three left, I could always give them to Ratso to raffle off.

I was given access to Art's archive for the dits book, it was definitely Joes work, he had the sketch in one of his folders; but the dead give away is his signature on the Heartbreak board.

Just in the process of moving my model trains and found a huge envelope in the back of one of the cuboards.

Full of the round Met the Marines stickers, unit badges (made of a type of printed styrofoam) and loads of the red ones.

Got several on my folder from my S3's, where I cut others up and made new ones such as....
Swamp Marines, Make Love Marines and others!!!!! :D :-?

You used to see a lot of stickers like that with Royal Mail on it. Not quite the same, but close.

Really Tab. Well, that`s interesting, isn`t it boys and girls
Yawn, ohh god, is that the time?

Used to use scissors( before photo shop, Sticks) and on the back of me clipboard read,
DRIP MARINES
POKE MARINES
and
WIMP MARINES
Mrs Aitch could not understand why this has "sentimental" value, and along with me lid, flashes, stripes( from Blues, Lovats and shirts, various) woollie pully, white cap, 44 patern helmet, sock-overs, Arctic smock, jungle lightweights, headovers, roll of Pusser`s string and several ski-waxes are all going to be indispensible in Australia
