FAN DACNE PLEASE SUPPORT US

Post by eve »

Can I say thanks to all of you that have helped so far… However we still need more help: We are not getting nearly enough the support we need:
Over a 1000 people signed the book for little Chandler… But not that many have committed themselves to the Event… now we really need to see some action: I need more people to join us on the walk in Brecon…. This is not going to be the hard slog tab (although you can do that if you want to) I did it twice last week nananan (joke for the FOC club there) We are going to take the tourist route up the Fan and then have several beers after … (Dave Hain Ex 2 Para ) is sorting out some accommodation and a tidy pub to get pissed in after…
In Blackpool this year, if I heard this once I heard it a 1000 times… (great do… can’t wait for next year)… Well you don’t have to wait we can have another do now… and maybe more… You can bring your family along if you like and I am sure many wives would like to see, where their men did their training… (can even join us on the walk)
If you do not want to do the walk, then just come along and support us, or maybe you could do something in your own home town… like a raffle or pool match or whatever… My little granddaughter is doing a sponsored walk for little Chandler…in memory of her Granddad… whom a lot of you knew very well…. Now more than ever we have to show the world… “THAT AIRBORNE SPIRIT NEVER DIES AND WE LOOK AFTER OUR OWN” Sorry to go on… but I really want to make a success of this event… Please call me or email for more details…. Yone ( Ex Parachute &Airborne Web Site…) or email Bobsidmond@aol.com

You can read all about little Chandler on the Ex Parachute & Airborne Web Site… there you will see what a brave little trooper he is…
Again thanks for taking time to read this Yone

THE FAN DANCE IN AID OF THE BRAVE LITTLE TROOPER
HERE ARE THE LAST MINUTE DETAILS:

Sorry still working on the accommodation, however I have been told that ladies can not stay at the Lines over night in brecon… so its men only there… However there are lots of B & B’s in Brecon so please do bring your partners along here is the number for the Tourist Information : 01874 622485… There is also a camp site in the centre of Brecon and I do have a few spare tents… that I am willing to put up should anyone want to use one…just email me:

We are going to meet in the Boars Head in Brecon (just opposite the work mens club) on Friday the 9th at 7.30 p.m.… Don’t worry if you can’t make that night… there is always Saturday night, Friday is just a get together, nice and easy not to mention sober night… in preparation for the BIG WALK ON SATURDAY MAY 10…

We will meet up at the Story Arms Car Park (the one with the toilets on) at 10.30 am ready to start to the walk around 11.00 am THE FAN DANCE… Please note we are doing the tourist route so its nice and easy, if you want to do the 14 mile tab that is up to you… See you in the pub later… When we have finished the walk, we can then hit the town of Brecon… should bring back a few memories for some of you… Its not really changed, I think you will still find some of your old haunts….

This is going to be our first event, and hopefully we can have many more… and the money raised is going to a good cause… (read the links on the site) Like already said, if I heard it once in Blackpool I heard it a thousand times… NO NOT MINES A PINT… you all said we should all meet up more often, now's your chance… if Blackpool is anything to go by it will be a great success… So don’t miss out, be there….

On the day Wombat, will be making his first public appearance, don’t ask I don’t know… but I am told it will be well worth the wait… I would just like to say thanks to all that have helped so far… Griff, Madge, Dave Hain… and the Marines who have offered support and money and have given us web space and so on…the list is endless so Thanks to you all…

Remember, not only will you be having a great time, but you will also be helping to keep that smile on little Chandler’s face and giving his mum and dad a well earned holiday… so lets show everyone that… AIRBORNE SPIRIT IS ALIVE AND KICKING… well walking up that little hill at least, just think this time no one to shout at you, you can take your time, take in the view and have a smoke break anytime you like….
YEAH LIKE IN YOUR DREAMS…. GET YOUR ARSE UP THERE THEN WE CAN GET BACK TO THE PUB FOR THE RUGBY IN THE AFTERNOON…

Cheers from all at the Ex Parachute & Airborne Web Site ……..

If you need more information call me or email me Yone…

Ps… Scouse Madge is going to video the event… and I have been told Andrea will do you make up boys…. haha

Have a good one Yone, we'll be doing the Yomp in two weeks, might be worth cross dressing next year and doing the warm up in Brecon!!
Seriously we have some good ideas for this years event , may be worth swapping news and picking each others brains. We'll send ABI back in his Jim Jams. Rob 8)
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Best of luck with the fan Dance Yone I've followed its progress on your site. Sorry I can't make it on the 10th it was a toss up between the fan dance and doing the 30 miler with these lads. I'm afraid that due to personal circumstances the 30 miler was the easier (if thats the right word) option.

Well, just got back from Brecon, good turn out from the Boys in Maroon(this years colour apparently) pity we didn`t get chance to see the fine views, (due to the clag being down, blowing a hooley, and honking down with rain), but a good day non the less. Spoke to Paul, Chandlers Dad, and what an eye opener that was, he and his family must be under some stress and pressure to put it mildly. Like i said earlier, its a pity i couldn`t stop for the hard bit, "the drinking" as it was a piece of cake!!

P Coy anyone??

see you all for the real one, friday!!

To all of you who, "threw out a life line" for my beautiful Chandler.

I just dont know how to thankyou for all that you have done.
We have been through so much, so many people let us down. Doctors, Friends the MOD. We are coming out of the tunnel now and we can see the light, I thank god that we have Chandler with us.
There will always be someone who stares when we walk down the street we are now a "disabled family"
I am not a people person. I love nature, it does'nt hurt you like people can, its not always perfect but its always beautiful like my darling son.
You wonderful people have given me back my faith in human nature.

"THROW OUT THE LIFE LINE ACROSS THE DARK WAVE,
THERE IS A BROTHER WHOM SOMEONE SHOULD SAVE;
SOMEBODY'S BROTHER, OH WHO THEN WILL DARE
TO THROW OUT THE LIFE-LINE HIS PERIL TO SHARE".
THANKYOU.

FROM CHANDLERS MUM.

paul said hi and good luck on the 30 miler "TAB"

Received the same email this morning debbie, and I just can't believe,
[a] the way in which this family were treated
how strong they have been despite the way they were treated.
