Matt

It could be that your mate's dad found the 'marines' training harder, because he had to do it with a wooden leg!

Is it me or do you make bull shit or useless topics to make out the marines are the best, I'm not taking anything away from they marines they do a great job. But its obvious SAS training is harder, you seen and read what they do?

I think he may have meant basic training.
Obviously the sas continuation training would be harder, it has to be. But, i bet its not all that diferent from the training the Marines do in Arctic/Jungle/desert conditions.

I'm just gonna add my tupence worth here...
Now yes this is a silly topic, and not many of us can accuraty comment on it.
Obviously both Royal Marines and Special Air Service training are hard, but i should imagin that they are both hard in a different way.

But i to have heard from a former member of the Regiment that thinks that Royal Marines training is proberbly harder than SAS... The guy did SAS training years ago and is now well into his 60s and never did anything with Royal so its not really worth listening to.
I believe that SAS training is proberbly harder.

Aye,

Matt, this is what is known as a pissing contest, nobody wins, everybody has a go and generally it's a waste of time. Just like the Marine v Para posts, it's one mans meat is another mans poison. Have an opinion, but really it's going nowhere.

Now where's my knitting, I'm making a balaclava for a Para who is thinking of trying the selection course for the WRNS, if he fails he'll try the RAF Regt. 8)
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Make sure you use cashmere wool, maroon with a sky blue edging would be nice, cheers Prez.
