Jay, I usually log on and find the topic flags for new input are orange; no probs there the. However if I go to another site or switch down for an hour I return to find they have all been erased, and then have to do the long search job. Any clues? Rob

Hi Rob,

When new posts have been posted since your last visit, yes you will see orange flags to indicate new posts.
As you view the new posts one by one they marked as read as you read them.
Or if you leave the site, the forum tells your computer that you have finished viewing the site and all posts are marked as read, until next time you visit again.
