Sorry Beasta, mine was delivered this morning 12th Feb so you had better chase your order to find out what has happened. Mine was ordered on the 7th Feb and delivered on the 12th Feb. Can't complain at that.

Simon, I see from the cover photo that you preferred the French style of beret wearing!

Got my copy through this morning. Immediately started reading and never put it down for two and a half hours!
About a quarter way through just now.

Simon, it's amazing how you can recount so much about recruit training. I can't remember that much about last week!

Right, im halfway through the book. Just one real observation about it. Simon did it ever stop bloody raining.. :D jeesus. They should start supplying umbrellas as standard issue kit.
Monday it rained
Tuesday got soaked to the skin.
Friday battering down with rain.

Seriously though, given me a good idea of the 30 weeks, and im absolutely terrorfied (if I ever get there)

In fact, im off to read more... :D brilliant

BEasta,
No it didnt'! Thats what happens if you go through training in the winter months!
A major RM said to us at CTC, "if it aint raining it aint training"
regards
Simon.

Eventually my book shop got it in after 4 weeks waiting and i read it in one day. It gave me a good insight to real life at CTC and the constant down pour of rain. I liked how you described each person as your braught them into the 'picture' . It also discouraged me from joining but at the same time made my desire to join greater. I never laughed while reading a book before but your tomato sauce incident did. Brilliant book with a 'down to earth' approuch.
Good work.
