HM Forces gets a pay rise!

Post by rabby »

An extra £266M is to be spent on on our boys and girls in the Forces! About time, and only an increase of 3.2%, but lets not spoil the moment!

There you go Mr. Fireman, no striking required, just good old fashioned moaning!

The jist of it can be found here http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/rn/content ... rticle=666 :fadein:

Okay when I posted this last night I didn't realise the figures involved. That 3.2% is only an increase of £500 a year, while the man who decided on this pay rise took a 12% pay rise for himself, which is £12,000! :fist:

"This pay increase is thoroughly deserved. We ask a lot of our armed forces and they never fail to deliver, however challenging the circumstances".
Well at that rate don't they deserve more than 500 quid?.

How about Lord Irvine; he only got a paltry £22,000 a year rise!! :o Don't you feel sorry for him?

Putting everything else aside, the Lord Chancellors rise is obscene.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Surprise, surprise; all of a sudden he has been "advised" to accept a mere mortals' pay award now. Yeh, if you believe that you'll believe anything, next they will be telling us he pays towards the upkeep of his many "official/unoffical" homes.
