Dose anyone know any good books to read for the written test before the PRMC. Anyother tips or advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

Written Test
Now we all know that it's already getting cold and dark in Canada, in preparation for the next ice age, but come alongside. No way pal, no way. 1-10 for trying though.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

Bringer, 13 is the maximum level for the bleep test (j90 you meant bleeptest right?
). Most guys get in the 12s anyway. They expect and want every guy on PRMC to max every test and they'll definitey let you know of these feelings! If you do bad in any test, whether it be the assault course or aptitude test you'll have to pull yourself back up into contention by doing alot better on the rest of the tests! Thats the way we were told it was at CTC anyway. One RMR guy was slightly underweight ( >58 kg) and he got the "you're going to have to max every test" lecture off the training team too!
I dunno know about your weird paradoxical hypothesis Bringer, but you should pose it to the training team when you go to CTC!!
Antelope, the written test is just basically an ordinary aptitude test, maths, mechanical reasoning etc. You get a practice booklet for the test when you apply so you'll see what it's like, if you want to practice more aptitude tests you can buy them in any book shop.

Ahoy there!
Bringer and others,
I was nearly twenty two when I joined. You are approaching your peak! Don't lose too much sleep about the preparation stuff. Bear in mind that up until fairly recently the pre-training package consisted of a date to be at CTCRM and a pamphlet with matchstick men doing press ups.
Of course get as fit as you can and do any other preparation you can, but having a robust character and a wilco attitude will see you through an awful lot. Most of us who have served could tell you about the academics and natural athletes that didn't make it. Be yourself and give your very best. Always.
Good luck.

Bringer, if you really want to show your enthusiasm, you should pitch a tent on the small beach just beside CTC behind the train station!, it'll also save you some cash! Then you can hop over the CTC fence every night and practice on the assault course, just watch out for the guards though!!
