Channel four have a program starting all about the formation of the Commando during WW2 looks quite good in the clips.
I think it starts 21.00 on Tuesday the 15 th will confirm time and date later.

That should be good.
my grandad was in commando 5 until 1 & 5 joined to make 3 brigade (as you all know anyway) :smile:
i ve been on a few of his re-union's to spean bridge etc.. and there a few RM who served in ww2 and for a bunch of old guys they cant half sink the whiskey

The other day on channel 5 I caught the last part of an ad which was about the Falklands War. I think their showing a few programmes this friday (11th). Anyone else able to confirm this.

Ratso, Somewhere on all this MF (Military Forums) you have stated that you did not know things were happening on TV as you were always on the net and you didn't have a paper.
By heck have things other than the web started to be looked at?
In the coming programmes on Chn 5 ( Just got it cos I've got Sky) starting Friday is a 3 parter about FI.

Whats the odds on that it was all done by the Paras and the RM's were only in a supporting role?!?

Any bookies out there giving any odds

Sorry Yorkie you got it wrong Spielberg has just released his latest film 'The Yank in Stanley'....A true account of how a single troop of American Army Catering Corps won the war for us by serving Argintinian Corned Beef to the Argi's.
Must have been the 20,000 tins the fleet threw overboard on the trip South.....
P.S. only went into front room to tuyrn sky over for my daughter so she could watch the Simpsons.....my fav as well....

Yes saw a quick clip, I am trawling the TV pages watching for any other programmes coming up.
I will be taping this one as well should anyone want a copy (highly Illegal) but then they do show these things during prime pub time.....
