help with raf regiment officer general stuff.

Post by coopesh56 »

hello,
my name is lewis and i am in my final year of A levels. my aimt is to join the RAF Regiment as an officer straight after. i have visited my local careers office and they said that i cannot start applying for this job until january time. however i was wondering if any one could give me some pointers that could stand me in good stead for when i do start applying.
i know you have to be fit so i have started spending 45 minutes down the gym most days and can run 6-7miles without too much trouble.

so if anyone has any tips on the interview etc i would be very greatful.

thanks,
lewis. :D

Did the AFCO give you any books? It will help if you know about current ops in which we are involved, our overseas bases, current and future aircraft, what your training will involve, that kind of thing.
If you aren't already, and you have time, get involved in something either community or charity related.
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.

thanks foru your reply.

yeah they gave me some books which i have all read and ive asked both of my brothers(both serving in the raf) as many questions as possible.

its funny you should say that because i was just today thinking of doing some volunteer work at mabye my local charity shop or something.

in terms of the selection process is there any advice on the interviews etc you could give me?

thanks
lewis :)

Have a look HERE and follow the links on the page.

It might help your case if you improved your English.
